PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Giving it back to the community of my birth is a rare privilege which I am very thankful to God for everything in me.
Whatever I have accomplished and materially accumulated are the results of my early life experience in the tiny, “sleepy” town of Manapla. Negros Occidental, Philippines. I am very indebted to my parents Jose and Consuelo Gustilo for their sacrifices of molding my early life. They reminded us of the value of education and enabling me to pursue my dreams of being a doctor and more. Furthermore, for over 50 years of my life in the United States, the land of opportunity, I was able to realize my dreams, encompassing both my family and career. I always believe whatever I have in excess of my responsibility to my family, wife, and children is not really mine. I am just the instrument of God to share it back to humanity.
The Ramon B. Gustilo Hospital is to Provide Quality and Affordable Medical services to Everyone. Furthermore, we will innovate and introduce medical practices to deliver updated medical care. With this, patients will have a shorter hospital stay, return to normal life as early as possible and avoid a hospital-acquired infection.
The hospital will have a completely paperless medical record system. Patients will have copies of their medical records either outpatient or inpatient medical care. A structured medical discharge summary is provided to each patient upon hospital discharge.
The hospital will provide emergency medical services as early as possible so that patients can return back to their normal life. For instance, a broken bone (femur, tibia, etc.) will be fixed immediately, so that hospital stay is limited to a day or two days the most.
The hospital will provide video-telecommunication services for Specialist consultation not provided locally or not available in the local setting. Surgical patients’ preparation for surgery will be done on an outpatient basis. Patients will be admitted in the morning of surgery, thus reducing the hospital stay by one day. The hospital will conduct weekly conferences among doctors and nurses to facilitate patient care and deliver the best medical care possible.
Lastly and most important as medical service providers, we have to recognize and believe fully that PATIENTS are the only and primary reason WHY WE ARE ALL HERE.
ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo Hospital is a newly built thirty-eight (38) bed capacity level 1 Hospital located in Manapla, the Northern part of Negros which is 44 kms away from Bacolod city.
This was founded last August 15, 2015 by Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo, a renowned Orthopedic surgeon, Philanthropist & a Professor. He is also known as the father of Orthopedics in the Philippines.
This facility was first known as Gustilo Clinic & Ambulatory Surgery Center, after a year of business operation the Management have seen the demand in healthcare facility specially those cases which needs admission and it’s frustrating not to cater those problem because of the health facility classification as an ambulatory center.
It was last 2017 when the management decided to upgrade the ambulatory surgery center to a Level 1 Hospital, a Single Proprietorship Company Registered & Approved by the Department of Trade & Industry.
Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo Hospital is located at the center of commerce in a Town of Manapla, the construction of the hospital completes the way of living and compliments with the existing commercial Establishments Like Northland Resort Hotel, Gustilo Town Center, and Villa Verde subdivision.
The Facility is a five (5) story Building with a total land area of 1,389 sq. meter and a floor area of 2,800 square meters, it has Ancillary Services such as Pharmacy, Level 2 Laboratory & Radiology, Ultrasound and Physical Therapy. We are a thirty eight (38) bed capacity private hospital. We allot 10% of our beds to our less fortunate/indigents patients.

R & G GUSTILO FOUNDATION INC.
The R & G Gustilo Foundation Inc. was founded on December 6, 2012 by Dr. Ramon Balgoa Gustilo, a world-renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, Chief & Medical Director of Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo Hospital and CEO of Rabagus Ventures, Inc. who originated in Manapla, Negros Occidental.
The name was taken from the founder and his wife, “R” stands for “Ramon” (founder) and “G” stands for “Gloria” (wife).
Our principal activities / purpose is to provide full/partial collegiate scholarships to deserving students of Manapla, provide medical and surgical financial assistance to indigent patients requiring joint replacement surgery and other Orthopedics procedures and provide financial assistance to sporting events e.g., swimming scholarships, physical fitness and wellness
Our programs consist of swimming activities, Annual Senior’s Talk about Health Care, the Annual Indigents’ Gift Giving (Pamaskwa sa Kabata-an), Annual Scholarship Grant for the qualified & deserving students and lastly, the Medical Missions.
